All About Mirandart

Hello everyone! My name is Miranda Xiong. I am mother to a beautiful daughter, and wife to a wonderful man.  I have been playing with makeup since I was fifteen years old. I realized what I really wanted to do as my life experiences changed. I started my career as a makeup artist in 2012 as a MAC Cosmetics Freelancer. I was later hired on as a permanent MAC makeup artist in Downtown Minneapolis. I was then promoted to assistant manager after 6 months, and then to Store Manager after another 6 months. I managed the Minneapolis location for a year and a half. I later stepped down from that position after the birth of my little girl. I truly wanted to share in as many moments as I could with my growing family. I haven't looked back since.

Although I have loved my years working for MAC, I truly believe I was made for something more than Retail hours. My experiences at MAC have opened many doors, and have allowed me to work with many clients and photographers. As an freelancer, I am better able to explore and express my artistry in ways that have helped me to better connect with my clients.

Makeup has always be an escape for me, and allowed me to explore a different world. A world full of imagination, dreams, hope, joy, and art. I truly believe makeup can help make connections that bring people of different walks together. Makeup can also help people to discover who they are and what they can create. It can be a fun tool to express one's self, but IS NEVER a replacement for the true beauty that is already inside all of us.
